The Goddess Hunt (Goddess Test #1.5)
**Warning: Spoilers ahead if you have not yet read The Goddess Test!**This takes place immediately after the events in The Goddess Test (book 1). Kate and James are off to Greece to begin Kate's six month sabbatical from Henry. Them going together sort of bother's me a bit with James' known interest in her. And she JUST got married to Henry! Why couldn't it have been Ava that went with her or something? Anyways my initial thoughts were Greece is a great choice place. it would give her the
If there's one thing I hate, it's naive characters that make snap decissions and are portrayed as the hero; say hello to Kate.In The Goddess Hunt, she proved that she was woefully immature and here she proves she's learned nothing. Rather than consulting her husband about his past with two twin brothers, she instantly believes the brothers and become BFFs with them... This is not how a normal human being acts and it's so frustrating to read.
I was looking to see if I NEEDED to read this series, and what better way than to try a novella that is #1.5 in the line up! I found characters that were serious, quirky, genuinely caring, clueless and just plain entertaining!I found a plot, that while a novella told me what I needed to know! Filled with some danger, some humor, some brotherly love and great dialogue, The Goddess Hunt by author Aimee Carter looks to be a lighter paranormal series with some great ideas, characters and just enough
I love books that mash mythology with modern and I've had my eye on the Goddess Test series for a while. So, when this novella was available for free, I grabbed it up a few years back. Yeah.. took my time, but I got to it eventually, right? So, the events of this novella take place after the first book. The heroine, Kate, is on a six-month holiday in Greece with James (aka Hermes) before she takes up her place next to Henry (aka Hades) on the god's council. They encounter Castor and Pollux and
This novella takes place four days after Kate marries Henry. Since winter is over, Kate can do anything she pleases and decides to spend her six free months in Greece with James. Not exactly the best of choices but who am I to judge. Anyway, James and Kate "bump into" two gods on the run, Pollux and Castor who are twin brothers who escaped the grasps of the underworld. There has been on a bounty on their heads for years but no one has gotten so close to them to capture them... until now. When
***Warning! MAJOR spoilers for The Goddess Test***After (barely) passing the tests to gain Immortality, Kate, who is now married to Henry, must leave Eden for six months as a promise to her mother. Honestly I only downloaded this book because it was free on Amazon, and it was recommended to me as one of those "you liked Percy Jackson and the Olympians series so try this one out" I sometime shy away from those kind of recommendations but I am so glad I didn't in this case. We join Kate, who has just become queen of the underworld after marrying Henry (Hades), as she is on her first six month vacation from her duties as queen. There is no word on Persephone in this one and I assume that is**Warning: Spoilers ahead if you have not yet read The Goddess Test!**This takes place immediately after the events in The Goddess Test (book 1).
